GRID Communications Pte Ltd and Smart Walkie Pte. Ltd. announces today the launch of VoicePing’s GRIDconnect. GRIDconnect allows VoicePing users and GRID motorola iDEN users on iDEN to be able to PTT each other.
All Push-To-Talk services of GRID are available on VoicePing GRIDconnect. This includes the following services
- 1-2-1 (Private)
- : Push to Talk 1-2-1 conversation is ideal for instant command and control, short conversations.
- 1- 2-All (Group):
- GRID Group Broadcast allows you to instantly talk to your whole team or disseminate information immediately. Our Group Broadcast allows you to talk to as many as 600 users, instantly at the push of a button.
- CrossFleet:
You can use the cross fleet service to talk to your contractors without having to make phone calls.
- Alerts:
Send and receive alerts. Send a call alert to let someone know you are trying to reach them.
WIth GRIDconnect, companies that use GRID’s Motorola iDEN walkie talkies can give specific users the ability to send pictures and run Android apps and retain the ability to still communicate with their colleagues using Motorola Walkie Talkies.
GRIDConnect’s cross fleet ability also retains any existing contractor or partner communication channel.
Companies can reduce their capital expenditure cost when they migrate to smart walkie talkies. A phased migration can take place with GRIDconnect since users of both GRID iDEN Walkie Talkie and VoicePing can still communication with each other.
Requirements
GRIDconnect is supported on Android devices with OS 5.0 or later. A internet connection (4G/3G/Wi-Fi) is required for use.
